Community Guidelines

The standards we expect from everyone who participates in the Doba KE community.

Last UpdatedAugust 2026

Our community

Doba KE is built around music, culture and stories, and we want it to be a place where people can discover, discuss and contribute to Kenyan music and entertainment.

Whether you are commenting, submitting information, contributing content or interacting with other members of the community through features available on Doba KE, we expect you to help maintain a respectful and constructive environment.

Be respectful

Treat other people with respect. Disagreement and criticism are welcome, but personal attacks, harassment, threats, intimidation and abusive behaviour are not.

No harassment or hate

Do not use Doba KE to harass, threaten, target or demean individuals or groups. Content that promotes hatred or attacks people based on protected characteristics will not be tolerated.

Contribute honestly

When submitting information, stories, corrections, music or other material, provide information that you believe to be accurate and avoid deliberately misleading others.

Do not impersonate artists, businesses, organisations or other individuals, or submit material under someone else's identity without permission.

No spam or abuse

Do not use Doba KE's platforms to distribute spam, scams, malicious links, automated submissions or repetitive promotional material that is unrelated to the purpose of the platform.

Protect personal information

Do not publish or submit another person's private or sensitive information without a legitimate reason and appropriate permission. This includes personal contact information, private communications and other information that could put someone at risk.

If you are unsure whether information is appropriate to share, avoid publishing it and contact us if you need clarification.

Keep discussions constructive

Criticism, opinions and debate are part of a healthy music and culture community. We encourage people to challenge ideas and discuss artists, releases and stories while keeping those conversations relevant and respectful.

Enforcement

Doba KE may remove content or restrict participation where content or behaviour violates these guidelines or creates a risk to the community, our contributors or the platform.

Depending on the circumstances, action may include removing content, limiting participation, restricting an account or suspending access to relevant features or services.

We may also take action where conduct does not fall neatly within a specific guideline but creates a significant risk to the security, integrity or operation of Doba KE.

These guidelines are intended to provide a clear baseline for participation on Doba KE. They may be updated as the platform, features and community develop.
