Our Approach
Doba KE publishes music, culture, news and editorial content that may reference or contain material created by others. We respect the rights of artists, photographers, writers, publishers, labels and other copyright holders.
Where copyrighted material is used, our aim is to do so responsibly, lawfully and only to the extent reasonably connected to a legitimate editorial, informational or reporting purpose.
Copyright ownership remains with the relevant rights holder unless Doba KE has obtained ownership or an appropriate licence or permission.
Editorial Use of Copyrighted Material
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, copyrighted material may be used for purposes such as reporting, criticism, commentary, review, quotation, documentation or other legitimate editorial purposes.
Copyright exceptions and limitations vary between jurisdictions. Some jurisdictions recognise doctrines such as fair use or fair dealing, while others provide different exceptions or limitations for particular types of use.
Whether a particular use is permitted depends on the applicable law and the circumstances of that use, including factors such as the purpose and character of the use, the nature of the work, the amount used and the effect on the rights holder's interests, where those factors are relevant under applicable law.
Doba KE does not treat the existence of a copyright exception as blanket permission to reproduce, distribute or otherwise use copyrighted material.
Music, Lyrics & Other Creative Works
Doba KE covers music and the people who create it. References to songs, albums, artists, performances and other creative works may therefore appear throughout the site.
We seek to use copyrighted material only to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant editorial purpose and avoid presenting another person's work as our own.
Where appropriate, we identify the artist, creator, rights holder or original source associated with material published on Doba KE.
The presence of a song, lyric, quotation, image or other creative work on Doba KE does not by itself mean that Doba KE owns the underlying copyright.
Images & Promotional Material
Images and promotional materials may be supplied by artists, publicists, labels, photographers, contributors or other sources. The presence of an image on Doba KE does not necessarily mean that Doba KE owns the copyright in that image.
Where material is supplied to us for editorial or promotional purposes, we may rely on the person or organisation providing it to have the necessary rights or permissions to do so.
If you believe an image or other material has been published without appropriate authorisation or otherwise infringes your rights, you can contact us through our Copyright Removal process.
Contributor Responsibility
Contributors are responsible for ensuring that material they submit to Doba KE does not unlawfully infringe another person's copyright or other intellectual property rights.
Contributors should only submit material they have the right to provide, including photographs, articles, artwork, recordings, lyrics or other copyrighted material.
Submitting material to Doba KE does not transfer ownership of the material to Doba KE. Contributors should review our Contributor Guidelines for more information about submitting material.
Copyright Concerns
If you are a copyright owner or authorised representative and believe material published on Doba KE infringes your rights, please contact us with sufficient information for us to identify the material and understand your claim.
Where possible, please include the URL or location of the material, identify the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, explain your relationship to the rights holder and provide appropriate contact information.
We review copyright complaints in good faith and may remove, restrict, correct or otherwise address material where appropriate.
